The fourth installment in the Respublica Litteraria "in Action" series forms part of the long-standing editorial endeavor known as the Corpus Epistularum Ioannis Dantisci, managed at the University of Warsaw for over twenty years by Anna Skolimowska and Jerzy Axer. This series compiles presentations from the participants of scholarly sessions held alongside the meetings of the international council for the “Registration and Publication of Ioannes Dantiscus’ Correspondence (1485–1548)” initiative. The focus of these gatherings covers diverse facets of the sixteenth century's international circle, referred to in Latin as "respublica litteraria", and consisting of writers, scholars, and intellectuals throughout Europe. The newest volume features not only discussions on a wide range of topics, including the depiction of geographical space in Early Modern culture, but also includes the itinerary of Piotr Tomicki during his period as Sub-Chancellor of the Crown of the Kingdom of Poland.
