Tadeusz Mazowiecki's Reports from Yugoslavia are being released to mark the 30th anniversary of the Srebrenica genocide. Mazowiecki made a significant and unprecedented choice to resign from his role as Special Rapporteur in the former Yugoslavia, expressing his protest against the United Nations' inactivity and the international community's failure to prevent the Srebrenica tragedy. This publication includes the 18 reports compiled during his mission from 1992 to 1995, in addition to the pivotal related documents and press materials from the Tadeusz Mazowiecki Collection, preserved at the Central Archives of Modern Records in Poland, as well as private archives. These reports serve as a crucial resource in studying the conflict's history and the subsequent persecutions and atrocities after Yugoslavia's dissolution. They were instrumental for the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia in the trials of war criminals.
